07 de junho VacationI thought my holiday was going to be a waste until two weeks back when I decided to visit Ganesh. I arrived at Raub at about noon, just nice to have my stomach refilled ; ). Had a superb lunch at Ganesh’s place and then both of us went roaming around. We went to a place name Felda Krau Satu - a small oil palm plantation village. I was unlucky as the oil palm plantation field was empty due to re-plantation of the oil palm trees. Then we had some rest and continued our journey to Kuantan. We went there to attend Vell’s and Thana’s diploma graduation.
Ganesh brought me around the town. Old memories of his back then in school days in Kuantan refreshed back his mind as he shares it with me, which then reminds me of my good old schooling days. We tried to stay awake as long as possible as all the hotels in town were fully booked. We ended up sleeping in my Kancil. Thank god it was only the both of us. Woke up late the next day, refreshed our self quickly in Vell’s hotel room and went for the graduation ceremony. A most memorable incident happened in town, my car was filled up with RM50.00 worth of fuel when I went to refuel my car. Even the person fueling my car was very surprised as he had never filled that much amount of fuel for a Kancil before.
We continued our journey to Bandar Muazam Shah. We went to visit a fellow friend in Felda Kerantong 9. They were having a prayer ceremony for a temple which was just built in his house. The temple was small but very impressive. I started thinking a lot about my life and found some answers to a few unsolvable doubts that I had. I also had a good chat with the priest about Hinduism - a topic with lots to talk about but with different views. He made me realize a few things and I made some amendments about my principles in life. This few days trip to Kuantan had changed the way I think about my life. Lots of interesting things had happened. I just love having this sort of occasional visits to the county sides, it gives me a change in perspectives of life and yeah… full stomach 21 de maio películaSleeping at 8am has been incredibly usual to me since the semester break started. Loitering around during the night and sleeping throughout the day has been my normal routine which I actually enjoy doing and look forward to continue if time and situation allows me to do so. Haah….You would probably think that I am mad or even assuming me of doing horrific things. Well trust me, I have received enough compliments. I just like doing things the unorthodox way. Just because you sleep during the day and work throughout the night it doesn’t mean you are up to no good. It’s just an unconventional way of doing this. I came across this quote and i totally agree with it.
Life is all about the journey and not the destination.
Well if that’s the case I just like doing things MY way. It’s all about MY future. The journey I chose might not seem to be like others but I am sure that I will reach the final destination soon with a great achievement. Huh... this reminds me of the first poem I read in life entitled “The Road Not Taken”.
Champions League final’s was a disaster. I truly wanted Arsenal to win the match, even though it was an uneven match but Arsenal did a good job. Bravo Arsenal bravo. They maintained the pressure and could actually lead a goal against Barcelona (one of the world’s most fearful football team) with one man down. Well I think they performed much better than AC-Milan and Chelsea in the champion’s league. They have a great set of young players and with King Henry signing on a new four year deal you never know what can happen next year.
I have been quite frequent to the theaters this week. I watched ‘The Da Vinci’s Code’ and ‘Over the Hedge’ two days in a row. Da Vinci’s code was great; the only disappointment in the movie was the cryptex code. Why must it be APPLE? I think they should have come out with something more creative. I know I didn’t read the book but even when Adam read the book he was very disappointed with the cryptex code as well. However the movie was splendid.
‘Over the Hedge’ on the other hand was an ‘ok ok’ la movie, it was not as good as the other cartoons I have watched before but it was still entertaining. I brought along Suren and Vishnu for this movie (a 7year old and 5year old whom my mom used 2 baby-sit). It was nice to see smile and happiness from those young and innocent kids. The glow of happiness that I saw in their faces was good enough to make my day.
Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony. ![]() 16 de maio fin de semanaWhat can be worst than having holidays without any plans. The only thing I can remember doing this past one week is sleeping, eating n yeah sleeping. I have to get my ass up off the bed as early as possible and find some chores to do. But hey actually I woke up early on Friday (the only day), kind of surprising uhh, I had to attended Ravi’s (my cousin bro) wedding. It was held in Bangsar temple. Can’t really recall the name of the temple as It was my first visit there. I have fallen in love with that place. Love at first sight? maybe ; ). It was the 1st time that I have seen that many Chinese in a Hindu temple. (The bride was a Chinese). The food in the temple was simply superb. It’s been quite some time since I have tasted Ceylonese food. I just love Ceylonese food. Saturday was great, had a long good conversation with Komilaa. It was her 21st birthday. I just can’t stop thanking her presence in my life. She has brought me all the joy and happiness throughout this year. Later in the evening I attended Ravi’s wedding dinner. I loved the speech given by the bride’s dad. There was this particular line which really got my attention. It sounded like this….
I am giving you my only daughter as the daughter that you never had and in return I am getting a son which I never had.
The words from the 70year old man produced tears from the bride and the bridegroom. I came back early to catch the FA Cup Final between Liverpool and West Ham. I must say West Ham played a good game but not lucky enough. The highlights of the game came from the goals scored by Steven Gerard and the penalties saved by Pape Reina
Sunday, celebrated mother’s day the typical old fashion way. We cut a cake for mom and then later I brought her out for dinner and movie. We watched the movie Poseidon.
It was good. I really liked the movie. Like santhya said, the movie exactly like Titanic without the love story. ; ) –where’s the fun when you take away love from life-
10 de maio boredomThis will be my 1st official blog…everyone I know is blogging….I thought to myself it’s now or never… I am really happy in life now as exams are over, life is so settle, and things are working perfectly fine….All thanks to Komi… She made me realize a lot of things. I used to worry and wonder a lot about my future; not anymore... Since the first day we have been together until this very moment everything has been working perfectly fine and smoothly…. It’s been like exactly 4 months since we have been together and I feel like it’s been a very long period of time…. Semester break seems to be killing me to boredom. Holidays has just started and I haven’t actually done anything useful. Creating sins maybe but that isn’t any useful is it? Being a pest to mom and sis is what I do best. I guess I am doing it so often as I wouldn’t be able to be with my sis for a long time as she is going to get married. Her big day is coming soon which happens to be a day after mom’s bday (19.08.2006). It’s the month to celebrate mothers day and yet I m being a pest to mom. I guess I have to change and be an angle for at least this next few days. I started the day today by watching the movie Bombay AGAIN.
I have been watching this movie a couple of time but I am still not bored. It keeps me reminded of komi.. I miss her so much…. |
